I’m off to New York City for a few days so I thought this piece was appropriate (although it does have some condition issues).
I recently rediscovered this handkerchief in my collection. It is by the artist Carl Tait who designed holiday greeting cards, table linens and handkerchiefs among other artistic pursuits. He had an exclusive line of scarves sold at B. Altman and Co. in New York in the 1950’s. His hankies were often centered around holiday themes, especially Valentines Day, as well as souvenir cities such as this one.
